The drive partition must first be mounted to be a selection in the destination drop down menu.

It will only list already mounted locations.

Re: Fossapup64 boot issue

Tried to boot it but it fails and lands on the grub prompt.

Does it provide any info at all?

Try this:
Access the computers bios setup.

If it has option to disable secure boot do that.

Also look for anything about fast boot and disable that.

Re: Kennel Linux Distrowatch presence

If you want the Linux OS you produce to be on DistroWatch.

Then you should submit it to them.

That simple.

How do you think Easy OS and Fatdog64 got posted to DistroWatch.

Do wonder why Fatdog64 is not at least in the top 100 page hit ranking :?:

Re: How to Dual Boot a Puppy Linux With Another Linux?

I have one suggestion for the folder name used for the BookwormPup64 frugal install. I have multiple Puppy versions frugally installed on a drive. Each one in it's own frugal install folder. I name the folder the same name as the Puppy version. Example: For bookwormPup64 10.0.6 The folder is named: ...

2GB of RAM is enough to operate with. As long as you only run one program at a time. I run Puppy Linux on computers with 2GB of RAM with no issues. I have used Gparted to do this on SD cards. Use it like you would on any drive. Just be sure the SD card is what you selected to work on. Make new partition table (type msdos). This totally deletes everything on it. Partition and format as you like. Note: On a very new computer with UEFI bios. To se...

How much RAM is in this computer? The ability to be able to remove a USB drive you are booting from, depends on having enough RAM, to completely load the BookwormPup64 OS into, and still have enough RAM to do stuff. The boot process checks this and may not let all of the OS load into RAM. (default i...

Re: Can files be transferred from an ext4 drive to a FAT32 drive without file corruption?

Under Linux everything is a file including symbolic links. Fat32 can not handle symbolic links. If an application employs a symbolic link, transferring it to a Fat32 partition will break it. This is why a save file can work placed on a fat32 format location. A save file is a Linux file system insid...

If the fat32 format is already fragmented. Fat32 format's file system can fragment over time. Fragmentation is when a files data is not in a continuous location. Parts of it are in different locations, thus fragmented. Files could be corrupted, when placed on a fat32 formatted partition if fragmente...
